Judy Sutton's Artwork -
Hi!  Thank you for visiting my gallery.   What a pleasure it is to share my work with you.
I devoted the first part of my life to education.  After retiring from a long and busy career as an elementary school music teacher, I began to paint in water-media. Having raised my family and worked with young people for so long I am often drawn to paint children.  Other paintings chronicle my travels, favourite Manitoba scenes, favourite flowers in my garden.
In creating this gallery I have arranged my paintings into seven galleries. Please click onto Places, People, Florals, Wildlife, quilts, abstracts,  acrylics or silk painting to view some of my work. The descriptors indicate sizes of matted and framed original paintings.   Most paintings are framed.  If a painting is matted and frame-ready, that has been noted.
Fabric art has been another of my  passions for a long time.  It is such a tactile pleasure working with the rich colours, designs and textures that are available to us in fabrics today.  The quilts shown here are appropriately sized for use as wall hangings or table covers.  I also like to paint on silk using the serti technique.
